Remembering No Naked Tribal Woman Here!

I have been going back through some of my old posts.  My memory is horrible so to actually be able to go back and read about some of the experiences I have had is fun and it refreshes my memory.  In a way this blog is a bit of a journal and there is almost 3 years of stories about my family, good things, bad things, funny things and sometimes serious things.  I love having this!
In the traffic searches etc. I always find it interesting what people search and still read on here.  Today the hot topic was the "No Naked Tribal Woman Here" post, lol.  So I read it and it brought back a hilarious memory so I thought I would share it again.  This is something I think I may do often because it makes me smile!

Now on to something that I just have to talk about. BEING NAKED! Now I am all for being naked, in the dark!! I have never been one to prance around in full glory in front of anyone. Yes that even means my husband. Now I am not saying he has not seen me naked in 11 years but it has always been uncomfortable for me. Well except those times when the chardonnay took over, I have no problemo then! Come to think of it I believe it is because I was an only girl raised with 4 brothers and now I have 3 boys. Maybe that is why I have just always been careful not to subject others to my nakedness. Whatever the reason may be I do not like seeing people naked and neither do my children.

So on to the point of this. We have been swimming a lot lately. The recreation facility we go to is very nice with everything you can imagine fitness wise. The locker rooms are so nice because along with the open showers and dressing rooms they have private ones. My kind of place! Well it seems that the senior citizens opt for the not so private ones. Yeah I know! My boys have seen more naked old men than any one should ever have to see, seriously! I was just kind of brushing it off and we laughed about it and then the following happened to me...

I am standing in the locker room with old lady #1 and old lady #2. No big deal right? Well here is the problem, old lady #1 is on my right facing me and old lady #2 is on my left talking to old lady #1. Okay now I do not know how to say this and sound nice but you have to have a visual. Neither of these old ladies are petite if ya know what I mean. There I said it!  In my defense I would have been just as uncomfortable no matter the size or shape, naked strangers are naked strangers to me no matter how you paint it!

So as I am standing there in the middle of their conversation old lady #1 decided it would be a great time to take off her towel and let all of her glory shine. Not only that she was still facing me talking to her friend!!!! AHHHHHH!! Can you see? This is why I do not like public nakedness, this right here is exactly why! I stood there trying to get my stuff together and not look and they just freakin' chatted away. There is a line from a movie that kept going through my head. This man and woman just got done being busy and he said "Wow your going tribal I like it!" Yeah that was going through my head for obvious reasons. It was like a slow motion train wreck and I could not escape it!

What I would like to know is am I the weirdo? Do you just strip down in front of everyone in the locker room when there are options? Are you okay with talking to your friend while standing there in full tribal glory? Let me know because I feel like I am losing it!
