| You should have equal part frosting and bar in a perfect world! |
I love, love, love peanut butter and chocolate! One of my all time favorite treats ever has been peanut butter bars. I know every place that sells them across the entire state of Utah. When I found an amazing recipe about 6 years ago I can honestly say that I have never had a better peanut butter bar than the recipe I am about to share with you!
Up until now I have not shared it with many people because recipes are supposed to be kept a secret and everyone should look at me in utter amazement wondering how I bake up such magic, right? Ha! Whatever I know I am not a magician it's just a recipe for hell sake!
This is the peanut butter bar and chocolate frosting recipe I have used for years and is the exact same as the bars you got from my shops. Some people do not love frosting so you can cut it back or all the way out and the bar is still amazing. I don't understand that way of thinking because I am a frosting kind of gal. I could put frosting on a piece of wood and manage to find it tasty. So here it is and again I ask that you please share this as much as possible on facebook, twitter, pinterest, church, school, with your family, neighbors and friends. That is what a yummy recipe is all about!
There are a couple of little tid-bits of advice here....
1. DO NOT OVER BAKE! They come out looking a little undone it's okay they set up and finish cooking in the pan.
2. Trim the edges unless you like the crunchy parts.
3. Whip the heck out of the frosting that is what makes it so light and fluffy. I know my recipes are lined out a little different for the frostings, but if you make it as the recipe is lined out you will get the best results.
4. NEVER EVER bake when you are on a diet of any kind!
5. Be prepared to be asked to bake again and again if you share these and I hope you do.
6. Enjoy!!!
